The Blue Xylem Project

Dr. John Cronin, is an advocate, author, and Time Magazine Hero for the Planet.

His expertise includes environmental policy, water technology, non-profit leadership, and professional advocacy training.

I became a part of the Blue CoLab at Pace University, where I, got the amazing chance of working alongside Prof. Cronin and Xylem. Inc, Xylem. Inc, a fortune 1000, leading water technology company.

Along with other students from interdisciplinary branches, I volunteered to combine data science, app development, environmental monitoring, robotics, multidisciplinary problem solving, and design thinking to come up with solutions, especially UI/UX-based solutions for the real-time detection of contaminants in drinking water.

I also had the privilege to lead a team of four to conduct a research study, in which we captured through a survey (over three continents with more than 200 participants) what the residential home users know about the quality of the water they drink, how they behave with water consumption and their perception of the quality of their drinking water. We conducted Cluster analysis and ran a chi-square test to determine a statistical dependence of variables and displayed all of this in an aesthetically pleasing manner!
